Your information, and what we do with it
Plain language, no small print. Here's exactly what we collect when you use this site, why, and who we share it with.
Last updated: July 2026
What we collect
When you reserve a spot. You give us your name, email, phone number, and property address, plus any notes you add and the equipment plan you pick. If you use the visualizer, the layout you build gets saved with your reservation so we can plan from it.
When you pay. Your reservation payment is handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card details go straight to Stripe over an encrypted connection. We never see or store your full card number.
When you browse. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use the site. It records which pages you visit, where you click and scroll, and it can replay sessions so we can see where the site is confusing. Typed form fields, like your name and address, are hidden from those recordings. Clarity uses cookies to do this. We also keep standard server logs, which include your IP address and browser type.
Facebook and Instagram ads. We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It notes which pages you visit and when you complete a reservation, so we can see how well our Facebook and Instagram ads are working and reach more people like our customers. The pixel uses cookies and shares this activity with Meta.
Why we use it
Your reservation details let us plan your layout, hold your spot, contact you about the 2027 season, and confirm service after your on-site assessment. The browsing data helps us fix and improve the site and measure our ads. We don't sell your information. We do share some of your site activity with Meta through the pixel described above, so we can run and measure our own Facebook and Instagram ads; Meta handles that data under its own terms.
Who we share it with
Only the services that make this work:
- Stripe processes your payment.
- Microsoft Clarity provides the site analytics described above.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) receives your site activity through the Meta Pixel, so we can measure and target our ads.
These companies handle the data on our behalf under their own privacy terms, and they may store it on servers outside Canada, including in the United States.
Cookies, and how to say no
The analytics and advertising cookies above aren't essential to the site. If you'd rather not be measured, you can block them: turn on your browser's private/incognito mode, use a tracking blocker, or clear and block cookies for this site in your browser settings. You can also limit ad tracking from your Facebook and Instagram account settings. The site still works the same either way.
How long we keep it
We keep your reservation information for as long as we need it to plan and provide the service, and to meet our records and tax obligations. Analytics and advertising data is retained by Clarity and Meta on their own schedules. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email us at hello@h2odeploy.com and we'll take care of it. This is your right under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act and Canada's PIPEDA.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
