Okanagan wildfire protection

Wildfire protection,
deployed when you need it.

When fire threatens your home, our crew drives out and sets up sprinklers, pumps and water lines across your property. You don't buy it, store it, or run it. We do.

Planned for your property Crew deploys for you South to North Okanagan

We size our crew and equipment to the homes we reserve, so 2027 is capped by neighbourhood and region. Reserve now to lock the Founding Member rate; it rises in 2027 if a spot's left.

How it works

Protection without the price tag of a permanent system

Four steps. Most of the work happens long before there's any smoke.

STEP 1

Free assessment

When you sign up, we walk your property and map the exact layout: how many sprinklers, whether you need a pump or reservoir, and where each piece goes.

STEP 2

Subscribe for the season

Pay a simple monthly fee across the summer (May - Oct). No big purchase, no crews drilling permanent hardware into your home.

STEP 3

We deploy on a threat

When an official wildfire alert covers your property, our crew sets up your pre-planned system, on site within 48 hours and usually sooner. We start it remotely once ember risk picks up, so we're not spending your water before it counts. We may also deploy ahead of an alert when we judge the risk warrants it.

STEP 4

We pack it up

Once the threat passes, we come back and take it all away. Your yard goes back to normal until the next time.

The real threat

Embers, not flames, burn down most homes

A wildfire rarely reaches your walls. Wind-driven embers do. They blow far ahead of the fire, settle into gutters, vents and deck boards, and quietly set the house alight. Embers cause 80 to 90% of the homes lost in a wildfire. Soaking your roof, walls and yard is what stops them.

Why H2O Deploy

A smarter middle ground

Buy your own gear and you store it, maintain it, and learn to run it in an emergency. A permanent custom system runs into the tens of thousands. We sit in between.

Buy your own equipment - DIY

  • Big upfront cost $5K+
  • You store & maintain it
  • You set it up under pressure
  • You must be home to set up & turn it on
  • Easy to get the layout wrong
  • Is it even working?

Subscription deployment

  • Low monthly fee across the season
  • Nothing to store or maintain
  • Our crew sets it up for you
  • We deploy even if you're away or evacuated
  • Layout planned & agreed in advance
  • Fire-line pumps, sprinklers & reservoirs

Permanent custom install

  • Hugely expensive - $20K-$70K upfront
  • Permanent hardware drilled into your roof & walls
  • Unsightly equipment on your home
  • Always in place
  • Maintenance is on you
  • Overkill for many properties

Will we actually be there?

The whole service is worthless if we don't show up

So we built the company backwards from that one promise. Engineers who've built and run companies before, crews who know wildfire, and a deployment plan we stress-tested against the worst local fire in memory: the 2023 McDougall Creek fire in West Kelowna.

We cap how many homes we take per area precisely so the math works when several alerts hit at once. That's the same reason spots are limited.

The gear

The same equipment used on the fire line

Sized and placed for your home, set up by people who do it for a living.

Impact sprinklers

Soak the roof, walls and ground so embers can't catch.

High-volume pump

Moves water from your source - a pool, lake, well, or our reservoir.

Water reservoir

On-site water for when the municipal supply is cut or unavailable.

Hoses & fittings

Everything that ties the system together.

Where a municipal water connection is available and local regulations allow it, we'll use it. That supply often isn't reliable once a fire moves in, so we plan around an independent source as well: our reservoir, your pool, a lake, well or pond.

Service area

Serving the South, Central & North Okanagan

We cover homes across the South, Central and North Okanagan, roughly within an hour's drive of Kelowna, from Penticton up to Vernon.

Questions

Good to know

What triggers a deployment?
An official government wildfire alert, such as an Evacuation Alert or Order, covering your property's area. We watch the alerts and mobilize when your property falls inside the parameters set during your assessment. We may also deploy ahead of an official alert, at our own discretion, when we judge the risk warrants it.
Do I need to be home?
No. Because we plan your layout in advance, our crew can deploy whether or not you're there, which matters most if you've already evacuated or you're away on vacation.
Does this guarantee my home survives?
No system can promise that. Soaking the exterior to raise moisture and wash off embers is a proven way to cut the risk, but wildfire is unpredictable. We're one strong layer of protection, not a guarantee.
What's the $75 reservation for?
We're in setup for 2027, buying equipment and booking crew against the homes we reserve, so yours tells us how much to provision and where. It also caps the line: one crew and one truck can only reach so many homes a day, so we limit how many properties we take per area. The $75 is one month of the base plan, and it locks your rate.
Is the reservation a commitment to serve me in 2027?
Not yet. It holds your spot and locks your rate. We confirm service once we've walked your property and you've signed the agreement, likely in spring 2027.
Why $75, and will it change?
Reserve now and your Founding Member rate is locked at $75. Wait until 2027 and it goes up, if a spot's left in your area.
How fast do you get there after an alert?
We commit to being on your property within 48 hours of a qualifying alert, usually sooner, as long as roads are open, it's safe for our crews, and access isn't restricted. When several homes need us at once, the most exposed go first. We sized our crews and equipment against a worst case modelled on the 2023 McDougall Creek fire in West Kelowna, so that in the model every customer's home still gets reached in time. How we plan to show up →

Become a 2027 Founding Member

We're buying equipment and booking crew against the homes we reserve, so 2027 is capped by area and filling now. A $75 reservation locks your Founding Member rate and holds your place. Wait until 2027 and the rate climbs, if there is availability.
